JBH – voted ‘Agency of the Year’ at the PRmoment Awards 2022, is looking for a talented Senior PR Account Manager to join us and head up our new Brighton office and grow the traditional PR arm of the business. 

Our Senior PR Account Manager will lead the new team in Brighton and will work closely with the senior management team to build, manage and shape the PR service from scratch. 

The role is special because the candidate will be instrumental in how we define, deliver and measure traditional PR activity for a range of consumer brands and help us deliver the new business strategy in this area.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience working in a similar role, preferably agency side, and will join us with an impressive track record of project managing and delivering PR creative campaigns for B2B and B2C brands – smashing expectations.  

You’ll have experience managing, training and inspiring people to achieve their potential, whilst building strong relationships with journalists and clients.

What will you be doing?

  • Working with directors to define the core components of the PR service, including PR activity, delivery, KPIs and measurement
  • Manage key PR accounts and ensure activity delivers consistent results for clients and meets wider business objectives
  • Manage client liaison and strategy – lead client meetings and calls and create and deliver reports with relevant metrics both internally and to client teams
  • Recruit and build a PR team that can deliver campaigns that meet current PR requirements from building awareness and credibility to managing crisis comms and strategy for ESG
  • Support the director with new business development – identifying opportunities, creating and leading pitches and proposals
  • Have an understanding of the impact of PR activity on wider marketing objectives, including SEO and commercial goals (full training on PR for SEO to be provided if required)
  • Mentor and train your team to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to plan and activate PR activity on time and to budget
  • Oversee all PR campaigns from brief to implementation, ensuring that activity meets agency quality standards and hits KPIs
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the media and PR industry – including its challenges, changes and opportunities!
  • Have an understanding of the impact of PR activity on wider marketing objectives, including SEO and commercial goals (full training on PR for SEO to be provided if required)
  • Be able to react quickly and change strategic direction if required in order to meet client objectives
  • Champion your PR knowledge and experience by getting involved in events, webinars and contributing to thought leadership content to support the agency marketing strategy

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Most importantly, someone who is driven and ambitious
  • Someone with at least 5 years experience in a PR agency
  • Experience delivering creative PR campaigns that smash KPIs
  • Someone that LOVES working in PR, knows about the industry and is willing to make the most of opportunities
  • Experience managing individuals or a small team
  • Confident in speaking to clients and inspire when pitching and presenting for new business
  • Someone who understands the value of a broad range of PR, SEO and social metrics
  • Excellent people and project management skills
  • Great communicator, both verbal and written
