And, right now, we’re looking for a proactive and versatile middleweight designer to join our busy studio and progress their career in an open, honest and fun environment.

From day one, you’ll have access to every stage of lots of exciting projects covering a diverse spread of work. What’s more, because of the way our studio’s set up, you’ll be exposed to a variety of clients and have real autonomy too. In short, get ready to be involved in everything from content (infographics and interactive), branding and campaigns, through to digital, video and events, and more.

What you’ll be doing:

·       Collaborating with content, digital and design teams to conceptualise and strategically execute designs for infographics, websites, branding and design for print

·       Creating original illustrations & iconography and Motion graphic videos using After Effects (training can be given if required)

·       Assisting with creative direction and developing junior members of the design team

·       Regularly liaising with clients via the phone, by email and in person to discuss your projects

·       Taking your projects from conception to delivery while ensuring the highest levels of creativity and professionalism

·       Ever-developing the quality and variety of your skills and creative executions (no one-trick ponies please)

·       Assisting in the progression of the JBH brand by creating presentations, updating our website and creating original visuals and articles for our blog

What you’ll need:

·       A diverse portfolio covering digital, print and campaigns from concept to design and delivery

·       The confidence to think strategically, work across the breadth of design disciplines and meet clients and present ideas in a professional and well-versed manner

·       The commercial awareness to discuss quotes, timings, tracking costs and individual output

·       A “Pitch to Win” attitude when it comes to creating pitches for existing and potential clients

·       A proactive approach, excellent attention to detail and great problem-solving skills plus the ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       A real enthusiasm for imparting your experience and learning from others and the initiative to get things done and do all you can to help others succeed

·       A handle on all the latest developments in the ever-changing design world and the ability to make appropriate technical recommendations

·       Strong typography skills, proficiency using Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Acrobat and Office and an interest in Motion Graphics (if you have experience of this and/or Infographics even better)

·       UX experience (Lean) or qualification (would be handy, but we can live without it)
